Poor, innocent Switch-Chan...

Joshua Crager

As innocent man, I do not understand the sexual reference, nor do I intend to learn it. I do enjoy the artist's design and direction. I've not seen in other animations, the inclusion of body fat to a model or the use of flesh in a realistic manner. Most tend to keep to a stick model or the physically perfect model. Keep up the good work, and I look forward to how you continue to improve and explore the world of art.

To explain a bit better. A stick model and a typical manga character model are the same to me. Where you cannot tell the difference between skin and clothing, and the models physical appearance matches each other. Dudes and Chicks being super skinny, for example. The physically perfect model tends to be the default for most action oriented books. Look at Baki, or Berserker, and you can tell the details of the muscles and the like. It implies power and enhances the author's ability to trick your mind into believing the impact of each character's blows. In comparison, Merryweather's artists tend to show a more realistic approach. Like in this particular comic, you can look at the leggings and notice the flesh is squished a bit due to the bulge of the thigs at the top of the leggings. In the other standards, such a thing would be ignored due to time constraints or difficulty involved. I appreciate the amount of work that goes into creating said models and do wish to see how the artists will evolve with Merryweather's success.

I see? Although I don't think people usually reach for this style of art for realism, I can kind of see where you are coming from.

I may be a bit too innocent to know of its intended purpose.
