So, this isn't exactly perfect as far as conceptualizing goes, but I thought people might none the less be interested in seeing how I went about it.

I wasn't too happy with the big poofy dress up top and went back to try and remedy it. That's when trying a silhouette first came in, which helped me nail down what I was trying for more and then execute on that. Which is to say, silhouettes are super powerful and important and I really should've started with some instead of just using one to fix issues.

Anyway, I should have also tried a lot more variety in initial sketches rather than adjusting the first one. But, none the less, ya'll might still find it interesting to see the process I stumbled through - and how actually employing better techniques and making adjustments let me push the design to a way better place than it landed on the first day.
