2023 Year-End Awards 🥰💖 (Patreon)

We're nearing the end of 2023! 🎆🎇 I'm planning to celebrate 2023 by conducting a few polls and giving out Year-End Awards for 2023 on behalf of my channel's subscribers. I'm planning to keep it simple and to the point. Below are the awards I'm planning to give out:

• Patreon Prize for Favorite BL Lead Actor
• Patreon Prize for Favorite BL Series
• YouTube Prize for Favorite BL Lead Actor
• YouTube Prize for Favorite BL Series
• Tita Josie's Favorite BL Supporting Actor/Actress
• Tita Josie's Favorite BL Lead Actor
• Tita Josie's Favorite BL Series

Some notes

• Series eligible for the 2023 Year-End Awards must have aired their finale by December 31, 2023. This is because a lot of people form their final opinion about a series once they've seen the complete series. Also, some people only binge-watch a series after all episodes have aired. This means that, for example, Remember Me (Thailand) will be eligible for the 2023 awards since its finale only aired on January 8. Conversely, Last Twilight (Thailand) will be eligible for the 2024 awards since its finale will air in January 2024.
• The Patreon Prizes will be voted on by Patreon members who have paid to join any tier at the time of voting.
• The YouTube Prizes are open to anyone who is either subscribed to my YouTube channel or reads my community posts.
• A "Lead Actor" will primarily be defined based on their role in MyDramaList. In the absence of an entry for the series on MyDramaList (which is usually the case for all Vietnamese series, for example), then I'll decide who the leads are based on either my opinion or suggestions from Patreon members.
• Only I will get to choose a favorite BL supporting actor/actress because some of these series have way too many supporting cast members, and I can't be bothered to type them all out in a poll (sorry, lol).

Voting process

Round 1: Jan. 1, 2024 to Jan. 7, 2024

• All eligible series and actors will be listed and voting will be multiple choice with no limit on how many series or actors you can pick (i.e., if there are 200 series/actors listed, you can pick all 200, or you can pick only 4 if you so choose).
• To be eligible for Round 2, a series or an actor needs at least 50% of the Round 1 votes.
• If more than 10 series/actors get at least 50% of the Round 1 votes, then only the top 10 will progress to Round 2.
• If less than 10 series/actors get at least 50% of the Round 1 votes, then only however many got at least 50% will move to Round 2 (i.e., if only 6 series/actors got at least 50% of the Round 1 votes, then only 6 will move to Round 2).

Round 2: Jan. 8, 2024 to Jan. 14, 2024

• Ranked-choiced/preferential voting will determine the winners. This is the same system I used for the test poll for Favorite GMMTV BL 2023. To read more about this voting system, go here.

Announcement of winners: Jan. 16, 2024 (tentative)

I'll start drafting the polls soon since most of the series that will start in November or December will most likely not be completed by the end of the year. Once I have the draft, I'll send you all the list of eligible series/actors based on those that I watched this year. If I missed anyone out, let me know.
