This was a redemption arc/character reveal episode for Aon (we knew he was loyal), Mr. Chen (really loving on both Yi and Diao), and Mr. Chenne (saving Diao and being gracious in defeat. In an alternate universe, Diao, Chenne and the little boy would be a sweet unit). By the way, in the US at least "crashing a wedding" means showing up uninvited, not burning it down, so that's confusing. Why does Diao still want to ruin the ceremony? Because the conclusion has to be an all shenanigans episode! I hope helicopters are involved.

My guess is, because Diao doesn't know yet about all of his family's crimes and what their fate was, that the wedding crash is still happening solely out of respect for Diao and the moral obligation he feels to end his family's greed with his own hands and power. Diao was the one being used, so I feel it's a good and right thing for Yi and Daddy Chen to still let happen for the sake of Diao's sense of self-worth. I believe Daddy Chen that he won't go easy on Diao, so Diao must end up proving himself and wins the deal, but Yi meets him at the end to tell him the truth and be extremely romantic, lol. Very disappointed this series was only 8 episodes! MaxNat are a top couple for me, and they, along with such a quality story and production, edged out Cutie Pie for me here with Naughty Babe. The emotional beats just hit oh so right in this series. The score is excellent.
