I’ve watched Addicted. And unpopular opinion, I actually love this more than the original. Granted that the original was never really finished but while I was thinking back then that they shouldn’t be romantically involved like in the novel. In this new version I am kinda rooting for them and I am thinking they shouldn’t be related. Lol

I have to be honest, I got very distracted by the pirated Brokeback Mountain soundtrack in the original that I couldn't really focus on the series. Wehehe. 😝 I mean, I liked the original, but I love this adaptation! 🥰💖

I’ve not seen Addicted, so no predisposition for me. I’m not mad about the shoes thing… I laughed, not because I’m oblivious to how petty that was of Wu Bi, but because we have to have some character arc here, so why not start with a rivalry? These two are obviously self possessed enough that they’ll get through this, not without some ruffled feathers, but you just know they’ll be laughing about their early jealousies soon enough. As they are so predisposed to dislike each other for their parents’ relationship, they might as well fall foul of each other for simpler reasons and get over those in short order so that they end up realizing they’re soulmates soon enough. I thought these first two episodes were rather delightful, and I’m heading into 3 and 4 straight away!

Thank you so much for responding with Stay With Me when I asked you for a recommendation. I see how much effort you put into finding the best in whatever you watch, which I appreciate because it tells me that you probably approach people generally that way too, which really is the key to life… so I’m a little hesitant to ask you to declare more fully on particular shows sometimes only because there’s a chance you might offend someone by leaving out their particular favourite… but hopefully that’s never actually been an issue! Without getting into flat-out ranking everything you’re watching, which might actually rankle some of your watchers, what if in your weekly release plans you regularly included at the end a “My current fav: if you’re not watching ___, you should give this a try” note? It could build audiences for the best stuff!

Aww, thanks! 💖 Yes, I do try to be as neutral as possible with series (even the trashy ones, lol), but I do try to be profuse in my praise whenever I recommend gems like Stay With Me. 🥰
