I wonderful as it is I regret the cliché. It could have been eluded (the drunk scene, the non-talk after kiss, the bad ex-girlfriend, the near-kiss blocked by a friend...) but for the rest I adore it. At some moment I could sense there is 2 directors but it is OK. Just I don't get the English-speaking only bartender... like what ? In Seoul ? That's not credible but nonetheless the scene was superb between Jae Yon and his bestfriend: it felt more westerner-like type of scene, just like the psychologist.

I wanna eat ramen with Jae Won! His aura and charisma is on another level! I have seen lots of BLs but if jaewon wants me to be his slave, I’m more than willing 😂 slave in bed I mean 🥰😘 What’s wrong with Tae Hyun he was basically told previously not to interfere, I need Jaewon to explode on those so called friends, he doesn’t need to please everyone, I feel like, him wearing a mask and the therapy session might have something to do with his brother. Remember the convo he had on ep 1. Also I was also scared of the ambulance sounds in the 1st ep. Was thinking Jihyun might die but I feel like it was his brother who died, and Eunji - i have seen lots of her archetype but never have I been so irritated with one. I literally wanted her to get hit by a truck of something. I’m just thinking the extent of what she’ll do, this series is everything right, I love the tension between jaewon and jihyun. Please have a happy ending, These two deserve it.

According to Mydramalist, there are 2 directors and screenwriters. The series is both of their debuts. Fun fact: One of the directors/screenwriters is in fact German.

I didn’t think it was Jaewon canceling their surfing lesson. I thought it was probably a text that went out to their Club group chat that lessons were canceled for the day (because most everyone was hungover from the night before), so everyone could do what they wanted. I like that they’re showing clips of Jaewon in therapy and that unlike when he first started, he’s now going of his own free will. It’s nice to see a character that’s privately acknowledged they need help and are actively getting it.

Tita Josie, thanks for your reaction, great as usual! I think Jae Won needed a moment to gather his thoughts, hence the behaviour at the beginning of the episode..I don't think we will get an explanation from him. Actually the way these series are shot, there are many things that viewers need to guess by themselves. Such as - how did they meet on a subway - was Jae Won following Ji Hyun or was it a coincidence? Or when Jae Won said that he saw Ji Hyun working - what did he see? Did he see the scene with Eun Ji? Sometime it is - «show, not tell», sometimes - «tell, not show». If I can't have a more balanced approach, I prefer - «show, not tell», obviously. But too much was left to our imagination in these 2 episodes I felt… These last episodes felt slower to me than the first 2. The conversation with Yoon Won in a bar with pizza, for example, was too long (it’s my personal perception of course), and the scene during the business class of JaeWon when they were making up the study groups also felt too long. I wanted to fast-forward those scenes, I wanted more scenes between the two main characters, I wanted them to develop .... Anyway I am still very much enjoying the drama and waiting for another week will be painful. I watched the press-conference of the directors (in the meantime, hehehe) and the German director was explaining the meaning behind the 8 in Eighth Sense. He was saying that when you turn 8 on its side, it becomes the symbol of infinity (which we actually see at the beginning of each episode). And they were looking for something which can represent the relationship between Jae Won and Ji Hyun. And that was it - the infinity. The infinite love, something indescribable. And then he added something which I won't post here because for some people it can be a spoiler... Also, I like that the actors here are not idols, like in most Korean BL's. It feels more natural, realistic, a little less “polished” should I say? In general, I prefer those who come from a drama school or University where they study theatre. Because they seriously study acting to make it their profession for life.....It feels different. But some idols also have a big talent of course, and we need them in drama industry because they bring lots of followers, fans and - let's be honest - money to create the drama..But on the other hand, they do create a competition for those who graduate from drama schools and are desperately looking for a job.. PS: taxi is not so expensive in Seoul, Jae Won booked a taxi for Ji Hyun because he did not want him to ride a night bus, he was worried...Well, he was playing a caring boyfriend ))

Yep, I figured the 8 was for infinity in my ep. 1 reaction! 🥰 I love the 2 leads and I agree with you. I like some of the idols we've seen in other series, but you can really feel the difference when it's professional actors who are playing the characters. 💖

I love this series. The acting is so good. Dear friend Joon Pyo, please read the room lol. Also Ji Hyun's boss is a real one, I'm glad she put Eun Ji in her place. I really can't stand her or his friend Tae Hyung. I hope that whatever Jae Won is conflicted about in regards to Ji Hyun, that he opens up to Ji Hyun at some point so Ji Hyun doesn't get hurt.

I agree that Jae Won needed time to gather his thoughts and process what he did and I also think there was a bit of fear of how Jihyun would react, that’s why he kept staring at him. I like that Jihyun gave him that space even though he too was confused as well as worried that Jae won might’ve regretted the kiss. I would’ve loved a scene where they talked about it but also don’t think we’re gonna get that or that it was necessary because it seems to me like Jae Won did follow Jihyun on to the train and that was his way of basically saying “I don’t regret kissing you”. I’m also curious as to what he meant by “I saw you working tonight”maybe he was there for a brief moment and witnessed what happened but felt that he couldn’t intervene in the moment but wanted to comfort Jihyun. He’s probably going to comfort his ex the next time he sees her.

I am now worried about that story about two mice - country mouse and city mouse and how they ended being “very goods friends”. If they ended up being in that “indescribable” relationship - I guess I will be disappointed. It won’t be a happy end for me no matter how directors present it..💔

Okay, we do get artifice as of episode three, the subway ride at the end of it, all alone save for our two leads, being rather fantastical. I even wondered if episode four might start with them still on the subway, but it being busy, just to show that the earlier scene was meant to portray them only seeing each other. We also did start to get some clichés entering the narrative, like the scorned ex who is now turning into evil incarnate, and the doofus beat friend spoiling the kiss scene… …but the Ji Hyun/Jae Won relationship still seems naturally hopeful but shyly hesitant, neither wanting to rock the boat too much, neither feeling entirely safe, but both wanting to test deeper waters nevertheless. I’m really hopeful that the two will each find someone they can confide in as they navigate the seas, and I think they both already have that person even if they haven’t begun to confide yet. Ji Hyun should be safe in Ae Ri’s hands, I think she’s already trying to tell him she knows. And of course Jae Won should tell Toon Won. I already love her and am dying to see her support of the two of them. Meanwhile, Jae Won’s trips to the psychiatrist are very interesting. Way too little therapy occurs in many BLs where the characters desperately need it… so it’s good to see it here. I’m pretty sure that Jae Won won’t confess to his psych, but she will make him feel empowered enough to tell Yoon Won, or so I predict and want. Very interesting!!!!! More tomorrow!
