Never Let Me Go - Episode 11.mp4

Craig White

So, can we admit that the writing for this series is not that good? Actually, I'm being kind. It's bad. While there are some nice moments, overall, it's really sloppy. Don't get me wrong, I love seeing Pond and Phuwin onscreen, and that makes me want to forgive just about anything… but one moment we have Neung declaring that from now on, no more hiding, it's show of force time, Palm will now always be by his side (along with the other bodyguards), and the next minute the bodyguards are nowhere to be seen (for the rest of the episode even), and the kids are doing their own things again, being totally cavalier about everything even though Uncle Crackpot is vowing to takeover everything and he's sent assassins out in the past. Meanwhile, Tanya is in the hospital unguarded, of course. I could complain about more individual scenes, but whatever, the plotting is ridiculous. This pair deserves better. Phuwin's excellent acting and Pond's excellent hotness deserves better.

Craig White

Now that I'm actually watching your reaction, I'm glad to see you asking where the bodyguards are. Glad to see you asking where Palm's dad is going to hide. (They've all been poor at covering their tracks - the bad guys can always find them, and when they do, Palm, Nueng, Palm's Dad are never prepared for the ambush. Tanya wakes up and she's been worrying about Nueng? She's just come out of a coma! She should be bewildered, period. The "I'm okay if we're not together" line? Cough! The dance in the restaurant, and Pond worries about being embarrassed in public, "most people here know you." Who? The film crew? There's no-one else in shot at any point in the restaurant! Finally, yes, a signature on the document Nueng's being forced to sign would never hold up in court, you're right, but whether Tanya was awake or not. Nueng could prove that was under duress. OMG, forget Nat, he's a goner Josie! We know who that previewed gun shot's for!!!!

I do not know the finale but my best guess is Chopper shoots his Dad. If not, then we have had a lot of build up concerning Chopper's opposition to his Dad's actions once he found out from his friend for no reason. Craig White's comments are germane. How could Tanya be unguarded in the hospital? Where are Nueng's guards at his home and the restaurant? The story lines in quite a few BLs have inconsistencies. Yet I enjoy watching them anyway. I watch for fun, entertainment, and ahem, the cute guys! These aren't Hollywood production, thank goodness. The protagonists in these productions are mainly young actors who, for the most part, do a fantastic job. And there are so many BLs coming yet. On its website, GMM TV is hawking Midnight Museum. That production looks spooky and delicious. Keep up the great job Tita!!!

Kim Pierce

In next weeks scene i believe Kitt is going to die too but I think if it’s not chopper it’s Palm’s dad. Kitt May not know Nueng mom woke up so technically did the shares go back to her. I love the way Nueng and Palm have matured and developed their relationship. I really hope that nothing happens that the once a year story becomes real. I think Palm should keep open his mom’s hostel and run it with a partnership with Nueng’s hotel.

Nathan

Still in chock by that conversation in the restaurant. Palm saying “I am ok if we are not together in the future, because we are so different”. 😱 OMG!! I am sorry, what was that? I thought the whole point of the drama was -Never Let Me Go. And now he is ok with not being together? And Palm - what about that tatoo on your back? It was all for decor? I mean I am also fine with them not being together in the future - but because one of them dies, or falls out of love for example, not because “we are different” (you can play golf on weekend’s and I can’t - that kind of difference?) What am I watching? Where are the (good) scriptwriters? Did they go on vacation?

Cindy Bowser

Yes, I agree with the majority opinion here and I can see Kim Pierce’s end to the show. This is probably my least favorite episode because 1) the writing was not well thought out. Agree that the scriptwriters must have gone to the beach; 2) with all the tenderness between the two, another kiss would not have gone amiss. It isn’t My School President in that regard and; 3) for the first time so far, things seemed awkward between them. As much as the dance/date scene was sweet and Phuwin was trying his hardest, for two very young straight guys to pull that off is a tough call. But, I still love the show for all it’s given so far and Pond and Phuwin have to be two of the most attractive actors, each in such a different way. Hope to see them again in many things, BL or not (ie look at Mew and Gulf and see were they’ve gone.) In fact, with Phuwin’s English skills and looks, it doesn’t have to end in Thailand. There are going to be 30 Thai BLs coming out this year, so guess it’s pretty much pick and choose.

Cindy Bowser

Loved “Phuwin’s excellent acting and Pond’s excellent hotness deserve better.”🤗

Nathan

Yeah, yeah - agree. It is confirmed, the writers went to Hawaï. )) Maybe they took Jojo, the director with them for this episode too. I also noticed that both of them - Palm and Nueng were awkward in the restaurant, weren’t they? Bizarre, very bizarre episode.

Cindy Bowser

One thing I have noticed with the direction with the series in general is that it seems to be a slow-paced many times delivery-wise…which, besides the usual drama plot holes, is one of the few complaints I had until this episode. Bizarre was the right word.

TitaJosie

Yeah Kit's definitely getting shot. We'll find out by who next week! 👀😱

TitaJosie

Yeah I also want to see if they're going to end up together or if the once a year thing will be the ending. 👀😬

TitaJosie

For ep. 11 of My School President and ep. 11 of Never Let Me Go, the writers swapped. I think. Lolz. 👀😅😝

Nathan

The writers of Never Let Me Go are letting everyone go (pun intended :). It proves the point that having 12 episodes maybe was too ambitious. Maybe 10 would have been just right because it seems that they don’t have enough material for 12. But it fairness we are picking on them because they so wowed us from the start and because we liked the series so much 😉

Craig White

I agree with Larry, it’s Chopper that’ll be pulling that trigger!

Craig White

This series could have been excellent. I’m still glad to be watching it… but if they’d paid some attention to working out what should have been obvious issues with these details, we’d be declaring this an all-timer. Instead, it’s an also-ran with some nice payoffs from time-to-time. Oh well…

Nathan

Yeah, it’s a pity because these two (Pond-Phuwin) could have pulled it off nicely. I have watched many Thaï BL and only two stand out for me - Manner of Death and I told sunset about you franchise which I thought looked professional from all points of view. I also had an impression that NLMG had a good budget to make something good and they contracted allegedly one of the best directors… What can I say - I just hope Phuwin gets a chance to shine again in another production. I will miss his acting…

Cindy Bowser

Uncle Kit would have to fight with Bible’s dad for the worst villain/father in BL. BTW, speaking of fathers, the market leader in this episode was Type’s father in TharnType.
