Director Jojo definitely has better taste in music than some others. I need to google the ost, it’s really great. Also, Phuwin is getting better and better at acting, he will become a very fine actor. I am waiting when Palm/Pond will be more passionate, he is just too restrained. Like, his “I love you” felt not so “special “, like he was not serious, whereas it should have been a big deal for him, if he really loves Nueng. I guess I miss a little more passion..Palm is a little too robotic for my taste…

Yes, I totally agree. While I absolutely adore this couple, the kissing scene in this episode was not as impactful as ep 7 and did not feel as genuine or charismatic and I also hope they’ll be more passionate….maybe after all the drama that’s going to happen. Also, remember that Phuwin is only 19 so that might mean more restraint on what they can or want to show.

Love the gin joint comment and that did cross my mind…ditto for the photo taking. Well, obviously, Pond is not the greatest bodyguard in the world, but as you’ve implied, PondPhuwin are just gorgeous to watch…and, let’s face it, most of these plots are pretty far fetched.😂

Yes, I thought that he is only 19 and they should be moderate so to speak. But I wasn’t even thinking about the kissing scenes, I would just love to see more emotions from Palm. His facial expressions, the way he speaks is just too “as a matter of fact”. Like he is doing his job actually. Nueng is really wearing his heart on his sleeve. He was telling Palm stories from Plato, telling him what it means for him - to love (I want to see that person when I woke up, when I go to bed).. And Palm - nothing much in emotions department I’d say. Well, except “let me peel you a shrimp” ). Maybe he’ll change in the last episodes, let’s see.

When I was saying that Phuwin is getting better and better at acting, I meant that scene with the thugs who kidnapped Palm's mom. When he went and talked to the chief of the gang to give him money. I thought the scene was really dramatic and he handled it perfectly. His articulation, his presence on screen, expression on his face (well it is all called acting) - I think he is on par with those guys from the Young Royals, you know? He is actually born the same year as Edvin who plays Wilhelm..

For those still looking for the soundtrack at the end of episode 8 - they play "Lucky ones by Roof, Paper Twins" and "Never Lost My Faith In You" - Eden Maze. Very eclectic taste, Jojo - from Folk to rock to electric to dance to whatnot ))

When you realize the ages of both boys (19 and 21), they are doing such a great job. I have to say that I disagree with you about Pond’s acting. Sometimes the best acting is done in nuanced ways and he is the king of expressing through his eyes, which is a lot harder than people would think because you have to generate the feelings behind it.….In fact, I’m not sure I’ve ever seen a BL where so much is conveyed just through expressions and that really creates a lot of chemistry. I can understand what you’re saying about the “Plato scene,” but I think that was totally in character with Palm….because they are from different backgrounds, with Nueng being more educated and with the difference in their social status. And, honestly, that is all part of their charm and part of the drama.
