Not enough is happening episode-to-episode lately, at least not for me. I make my living as an editor, and I would have edited the material from the last three episodes down to 1 ½. Previews of the next episode look like it will finally move stories along that have been missing in action lately. More than that though, I would have rearranged some scenes to make the time jumps/equivalencies more obvious and more linear, while filling in details that seem to be totally missing. For example, in episode 6, Champ changes his major, and in the next scene, he's soaring (so that's months later?), while no-one else's story seems to have progressed at all. Of course in this episode we learn that Champ has now gotten the marketing award two years in a row, so this is maybe another year and-a-half into school since episode six, and the boys haven't been home to visit, and again, the other stories are barely progressing? Sorry, none of this rings true the way it's playing out right now.

I didn't pay attention to that but you are entirely right. The timeline is without any indication. Champ changes of degree did felt weird to me. The series is very slow paced but it does not bother me, I'm still very fond of the characters and their stories.

I really hope ..the mom isn't the "new friend" name made . I will understand why she did it if it's her, but it will feel manipulative for name.

I was thinking the same thing when watching the episode. ''Oh no...mommy, don't tell me it's you...'' I would understand but being in Name shoes, I would become betrayed and angry.

Yeah, I think it's totally his Mom catfishing Name. I get it but it will hurt him in the long run and lose his trust in her. Plus I think it's Name’s Mom asking Em to stay away to force him to speak

Yeah, I understand you. I get lost with all the time jumps too sometimes. Overall though, I still find the characters charming so I kinda overlook the other stuff. 💖
