I got the same reaction as you when Issey discovered the shrine, I was desapointed by the nonchalant turn of Issey. I would have imagine something truly emotional like a confession of love...anyway. The series is still very good but the progression is somewhat inexistent. I hope the next episode make a step forward.

I get what u mean but I quite liked his non reaction, reaction. Just a simple thank you. I think the point of his nonchalant reaction is that he doesn't view their relationship as celebrity and fan. Given what we know about his personality and self-esteem I don't he would have handled, Issei confessing or having a big reaction very well .
