If I'm not mistaken, this episode is a flashback to before the accident, because at the end of episode 2, Mitsuru says he once got scared of Koichi and at the end of this episode, he says that was the time he got scared of being hated by Koichi, so i guess it's a flashback that explains why he was scared of Koichi before... But then it makes the story even sadder because it means they confessed to each other and maybe they were even a couple until the end... I think the next episodes are going to be memories from before the accident, I could be wrong...
