Poor, poor Ye Guang. He needs to stand up for himself or he will drown in it. I related to him so much. I had a similar upbringing. I had to have lots of arguments with my parents over school and their control but I was able to break free. It lead to a fractured relationship for a few years. We mended fences but it's not the same. We don’t talk much about anything these days except for the weather or the news. It's for the best.

Love this show❤️In Taiwan, they love to call mom cause it also mean yu's mom, they usually call that instead aunt or uncle. And what you heard about "B!tc", that's the number of 87,it really mean idiot. From my point of view, Guarn's is unreasonable. However, compare to novel, they are much worse in novel version. And unfortunately, I don't think 8 episodes can show all the plot, cause novel's plot is much longer than this, I hope they could have season 2 or something. 🙈

Those parents got the power to drive me postal. I mean madly crazy to the point I need to destroy something. And what I hate is we probably going to drive to a redemption ark when everyone will be happy forever. I wish once a series in which family broke apart definitively but the child is actually really happy after that. To destroy the concept that family is the ultimate reference of hapiness because family could actually being just dictatorship, parents acting like pupetteers. Some parents do not love their child, they use the concept of love to just be happy themseilves, children being just a tool. Being Ye Guang, I would have smash to dust the cellphone in front of my parents. And now... what are you going to do ? Ray, on his side, lack understanding. He acts just like it was easy as a snap of finger to accept theyself sexuality or any kind of love.

Yeah I agree on both points. I'm not sure that we'll get a redemption arc for the parents though, but I guess we'll see next week. Ray is very young so that's probably why he's not able to see Jian's side in the way I'd expect someone older to do. I still love him though. 🥰💖

Considering that Ray's ex basically made him dress up like a girl because he didn't want to be seen in public with a guy, the ex bought all his girl clothes and makeup... I mean WTH, I don't blame Ray for being untrusting of the new guy or himself! It's ok not to engage when you don't know how you'd want to move forward
