So I want to love this series, but so far it’s only managing to hover above Enchanté for me, which is the lamest of the Thai BLs I’ve watched so far. The problem for me is that Sea doesn’t have the charisma to pull off the stoic role. Charisma oozes out of Jimmy, he’s so much more expressive, but Sea is just too blank-faced for me. Joong had a similar character to contend with in SIMM, but he managed to convey Kluen’s inner turmoil despite his reluctance to open up. Sea I just can’t read the same way. There’s lots of other good stuff in here, so let’s hope that Talay opens up in a way that Sea can unlock the personality more in upcoming episodes!
