The Miracle of Teddy Bear is one of the few BL series that sheds light on the emotional, mental, and physical abuse that LGBTQ+ children have to endure, especially at the hands of the ones who are supposed to take care of them - their parents. It was hard to watch Nut's father abuse him in the series, but after seeing those scenes, it finally made me understand where his anger came from. From one of the characters I disliked the most, he is now probably one of the ones I love the most.

I am by no means condoning his acts of violence and his abusive behavior towards Taohu and his mother in the early episodes -- he should be held accountable for that too -- but I still think that Nut deserves empathy, compassion, and understanding as a survivor of child abuse. I send the deepest love and the warmest, Teddy Bear hugs to any of you who have faced anything like this when you were a child. 🧸💖
