She’s actually not lying to him lol. They’re not saying he or she. The pronouns are actually on the part of the translator. The Korean language doesn’t have gender specific pronouns. But English sentences wouldn’t make sense without them, so that’s probably why the translator chose to add them.

Ah no wonder. That makes more sense. It's like my local language, Filipino, too. We don't use gender-specific pronouns either, so we get confused at subs when they have genders all of a sudden. Lol. 💖
