Such an incredible episode (and even more with 2023 hindsight). The first half is pure joy, then the sleuthing starts, and we meet the cast of My School President, which is like being given a surprise gift now that we love them, compared to just a cute, warm scene when we first saw this… then more joy from Ink and Pa… wham, wham, wham, the overseen playing around, the heated confession, the anger, and then the full revelations about the past, ooooooof. And then we’re back to the rooftop. Ooooooof. Wow. I hate that I have a reservation about it all, just that how could you ever move in next door to someone with whom you share a situation like this. Inconceivable to me, on a Princess Bride level.

They had a good balance of sweet scenes and bitter scenes in this episode. I really needed those sweet scenes to survive the parent drama. I am still unclear why Phat’s father slandered Pran’s family and basically forced his son to be a roadblock to Pran by competing with him if he is really sorry for what he did to Pran’s mom. He can use the grandpa excuse for the scholarship stealing, but that doesn’t explain why he has continued to be mean to her and her child (even physically attacking Pran) all these years later. I hope they explain that more.

Yeah that part still doesn't make sense to me yet either. The only thing I can think of is that there really was something romantic going on between Pat's dad and Pran's mom and he felt betrayed when Pran's mom left him for Pran's dad. Not that it justifies what he did, but I'm guessing that might be the explanation? Not sure. 🤔

The roof top scenes in this series always do me in. I so love this series and I honestly don’t want it to end.
