Qian almost lost Yuan and never knew it. I thought Le was going to kill his gang member for going against what he said but he didn't. Surprising!🤔 I hope they get this illness under control. I can't take any other outcome.😤

Shout out to the child actor who played young Yuan. He had tremendous presence and set up the come back of post-US Yuan as the magnificent badass that he is.

Geez, Qian's acting during the Russian roulette part was heartwrenching! The terror of possibly losing Yuan that he displayed hit me in the gut! Wow! Such a great series!

Been waiting for your reaction. It was in keeping that Yuan tried to resolve the gang issue. His memories of the gang is as intense as Qian. He was so young when Qian had to fight out of the game and compromised his health over it. So Yuan thinking it’s his turn to protect Qian is right on course. It’s was amusing to see Qian trying to accept how Yuan feel towards him but at the same time draw a line between them.

I actually think Yuan had to go alone. Both Yuan and Qian earned pardons for their bravery because they showed up voluntarily, alone, and unarmed.

Yuan is typically a level headed person but when it comes anything with Qian, he just can be reasonably, like why would you go alone to a gang’s place!!

That last line from Qian is so important. I know he's afraid but Yuan's letter and what happened earlier will push him to go for what he wants. As Yuan said...it's that he doesn't dare to want. On a lighter note I kind of need a spin-off with Dr. Lin and that doctor's office. He is so random and funny 😅

Goes to show that Sam Lin is a tremendously talented, versatile actor. In WBL he's an earnest striver and it's embodied in his muscularity, his posture, and his wardrobe. As the doctor, he's slouching, squatting, napping and smoking his way through life, weighed down by unknown burdens, yet brimming with low key charisma. I love him.
