This one was a joy  to make.

Had to get through a major mental block; the idea of me editing these longer videos brought me to a standstill.

I could stockpile the sketches, but could NOT get near the computer.

Part of it must've been general overwork, but I think they key problem was sustainability going forward.

I had to build a new editing flow from the ground up, prioritizing efficiency so the art could shine through.

I also needed to develop an exit plan; a way to escape the tedious computer goblin drudgery so that I could spend more time writing the scripts, or doing meaningful editing decisions.

TWO PLANS running right now

 1.) Developing a software (FCPX plugin) that'll analyze my footage, cross reference it with my scripts, and then build the timeline for me (Every shot in the right spot) so I only have to go in and tweak timing, add movement, or place inserts... Got a couple of folks looking into it.

2.) Reach critical momentum with my new solo editing style, and begin a savings for an editing team... There's a specific outfit, BeCreative that offers $1,699 monthly (if paid the $19,000 annually) for a full-time editor who can theoretically turn around multiple minute long VS style sketches in a day (provided I make my custom workflow clear) ... This is the most promising, especially because I can act as an agency, and loop in OTHER creators to also upload to my team account there... Split the costs, and everyone turbo charges their output, allowing them to focus on the subjective creative work (ideas) versus the objective creative work (the key tappings)

Now imagine if we got the studio editing team, and they're using the VS editing software plugin???

We could go from a small release every fortnight, to 30 minute VSTV sketch comedy program every Friday... At that point, I could staff writers too.

Exciting to think about, I just have to put my nose to the grindstone for the next couple of years and we can get there... 

The kind of program that funds even bigger passion projects... The kind of program that gets Alaskan Brotherhood Mansions... The kind of program that successfully markets a 2032 oscar winning VS film....

I'm getting ahead of myself; too much goodness in the old SSD to finish editing as it is.

Let's see if we can keep this energy building.
