Dubai’s infrastructure is very car centric, similar to a lot of American cities. Architect John Harris designed Dubai to feature many of the components that are present in America’s automotive cities. European cities, because of how old they are, are designed for pedestrians and walkability. Whereas newer cities such as those in America and Dubai in particular, are designed for cars. Some people like the convenience of driving to everything you need, whereas others prefer cities that have more accessibility for walking. A lot of Europeans feel like car centric cities are very superficial, lack tradition & history and are too commercialised. Whereas Americans view European cities as being too dense, inconvenient and claustrophobic. It comes down to personal preference.

Brother, I have to say, your content has brought me so much excitement and insight into my life! As a 22 year old man, I struggle with the sheer amount of idiocy I encounter on a day-to-day basis. These types of podcasts help keep me sane haha. I'd love to hear your thoughts on the 90s. I think my generation is so staid, bland, dull etc. There's no dynamism in the west anymore. I love the 80s stuff, the synth inspired music. I love pre rave synth music like Blue Monday, Smalltown boy. What a fucking iconic tune smalltown boy is; Depeche mode is fantastic too. The dance music in the late 80s early 90s is just on another level. It's full of soul and energy. I also love 80s afrodisco. I find it hilariously cheesy, but it actually added some nuisance to disco; it utilises the synthesizer, and I LOVE the african accent in the music haha. Artists like steve monite, Kiki Gyan and Oby Onyioha are fantastic. Non-american 80s disco is exceptional. Brazilian disco, italo disco, arab disco etc. Even the punk scene now is a cheap souless ripoff of the early 80s post-punk scene. I agree that pop music now is made for normies. Would love a podcast about the 80s and 90s!

2024-02-13 08:29:49 What I love about Hatman is something extremely rare in our world today: he’s genuinely a truth seeker and does his best to stay as close to objectivity as possible. It’s in human nature to be biased, and it requires considerable effort to maintain a balanced view of things. Props!
