Irrespective of whether Trump is genuine or not, there are vast swathes of the public who genuinely love him, and others who genuinely hate him. To many of those who hate him- mainly "progressive" types- Trump represents the archetypal alpha male; confident, bullish, forthright, and unapologetic. Their hatred of him -to some degree- speaks to their hatred of masculinity in general.

To defeat Trump, would, in their eyes, be a symbolic representation of the fall of masculinity. The destruction of the alpha male. It could also be construed as the destruction of exceptionalism. Because Trump (again, irrespective of whether he's genuine or not), projects an exceptional persona; a man who brashly presents himself as superior to his competitors.

As I've mentioned recently, this is something which lefty/progressive types are especially afraid of, hence their desire for a communist feminist technocracy. Communism seeks to suppress exceptional individuals. It caters to the envy, cowardice, and general insecurity of unexceptional people. 'The obedient always think of themselves as virtuous rather than cowardly' as per the meme I posted recently.

Crypt Torque

Indeed. I was thinking the other day of all the controversial things he may or may not have said, the main one was the 'grab em by the pussy' comment.

it’s unbearable seeing Malcolm X accounts celebrating the Biden victory. I’m not saying Malcolm X would’ve endorsed Trump but he would have HATED this democrat party with a passion!

Most of those people who use a Malcolm X picture as their avatar, know next to nothing about the man, or his ideology. If they did, they wouldn't be holding him up as a hero, because he was antithetical to many of the things they believe in. He believed in gun ownership, racial separation, modesty, traditional (patriarchal) family with the requisite gender roles, abstaining from drugs and alcohol, etc. He had far more in common with conservatives than he ever had with liberals, and if he were alive now, even more so.
