Hatman the tables have slightly turned now...... the American youth are loving the uk black culture at the moment. Uk drill and rap is very big out there now. Check out a rapper called pop smoke. He’s from New York but he is a drill artist and was influenced by the uk 🇬🇧 .......well was a drill artist he’s dead now lol

I think it comes down to black brits being first or second generation immigrants have a weird sense of belonging. They’re not quite from their parents country in my case Nigeria while also not quite being “English”. They see American black culture as being established and something they aim to be apart of (whether consciously or subconsciously) and as such seek acceptance.
