I've always found this to be an absurd argument, which is predicated on nothing more than semantics. There are very real, observable, and measurable differences between races/species/phenotypes- or whatever label you want to put on them. From blood, hair, skin, bones, eyes, muscle composition, skeletal configuration, facial features, skull shape, on and on it goes- but yet we're told 'there's only one race, the human race'. We're all part of the same human family, yes. Very distinct from the rest of the animal kingdom. But if creatures as similar as Gorilla Beringei and Gorilla Gorilla are classed as "different species", then how on earth an Aboriginal Australian and a blonde haired Nordic are classed as the same species is beyond me.

So why is this idea being pushed by certain groups? Is it because they fear that acknowledging our differences cultivates tribalism and prejudice? Is this why race mixing is pushed; because we can't peacefully coexist due to our physical differences? There may be some truth to that, but I'd personally find it sad if all the pre-existing  races were bred out of existence, and all humans ended up looking the same. The beauty of nature is in it's diversity; imagine if there was only one type of bird, or one type of fish. Wouldn't that be sad? To be fair, we're still a very long way off that happening to humans- there are still billions of black/white/Oriental people etc- but we appear to be headed in that direction, and there are some races which are literally on the brink of extinction, like the aforementioned Aboriginal Australians for example. And there have been other species of hominid, like Neanderthals (among several others), which went extinct.

There must be a better way of keeping the peace than to breed certain races, or all pre-existing races- out of existence, surely? I think a universal stand against imperialism is the way to go. A respect for indigenous people, their land, culture, and environment. There's always going to be internal conflict among most races- but surely that's the lesser of two evils? Species usually go extinct due to environmental factors, or the introduction of new species who essentially 'conquer' them, but very rarely do they make themselves extinct, if ever.

Food for thought.

Race IS a social construct. Just as the classification of all animals and plants etc.....Nature is full of variation. I mean you could narrow it down to 100’s of catagories / classifications within a single so called race based on many things. The idea of race is nothing more than a tool to control and dominate based on skin colour. It serves little constructive purpose at all.
