TREAT STUFF IS GOING WELL!!! as you can tell by the new title screen ;)

i finally finished reconnecting all the doors and paths, so now ALL THE GAMES ARE OFFICIALLY CONNECTED!!! you can play through the whole series (up to part 7 anyway)... woaahhh!!!!!! as of writing this, i have yet to run through it all, but i'm very excited to get to do that.

in the meantime, i started adding in some new content now that i can check for past events. for example, during part 3, moxie will react differently to eleni on the insterail if you summoned kamilla in part 2:

i've also been finishing some of the art for part 7, starting with the new expressions!

aside from treat stuff, i've just been working on adding translations for astra's garden and bad end theater. for the latter, i actually started running out of room on the screen to show all the language buttons... so that gave me the motivation to update the code for those screens a little!

something that was a bit annoying before was, in order to credit each translator on the about screen i put in a check for what language the game was in, and add their names individually. instead of bothering with all that, i wrote a function to grab the name associated with that language!! greyed out text is the obsolete code (but with like 20 more lines after that omg)

now all the translation info is defined once in a handy little list! (this one's from astra's garden)

so now instead of writing out all the individual language buttons, i get to loop through this list!! (again, greyed out text is all the extra nonsense i don't need anymore haha)

the result looks exactly the same on the player end, but it makes things so much more convenient for me now that i only have to add it in one place and know that it'll just work everywhere i need things to show up ;o;

the main reason i wanted to put the languages in a list like that was so i could make this:

unfortunately, this screen doesn't work great with controllers... so i'm scrapping it for now. instead, i'm going with the wrapping hbox from astra's garden (graduating from a regular grid lol) so the buttons are a little more compressed on the screen haha

translations are my biggest expense, since it's the only kind of work i can't do on my own. i'm really happy i can fill up the whole screen with the number of languages some of my games are available in!!! super grateful to all the translators who have helped my games be more accessible around the world <3
