i just got back from vacation and i realized it's july now, which means it's time for the mid-year update post!!! (here's the previous one for reference.)

but first, some housekeeping:

patreon campaign news

billing was paused for the time when i was away, but i'm ready to resume now! the next charge should be august 1st for current patrons, and i'll be writing dev diaries as usual starting next monday :)

coming back from my hiatus, i decided to switch the billing over from "monthly" to "subscription". if you're already subbed, this doesn't affect you! you'll still get charged on the 1st of the month like usual. new patrons will be charged on the day they subscribe, so they will have access to everything for 30 days instead of just until the end of that month (which seems more fair to me). the reason i took so long to change this was because patreon warns you that it's irreversible. realizing that it doesn't change anything for existing patrons is what made me think i should go ahead with it!

i also thought about restructuring my tiers, but... i'm kinda happy with them? i feel like i have a good amount of stuff to share at a stready pace. if you have any feedback though, please let me know and i can think about it some more! (a little braindead at the moment so i didn't want to make any big decisions before posting this...)

NOW ONTO THE PROJECTS!

Trick Comes Home: Part 2

i kept thinking about this game throughout my vacation!!! i'm really motivated to finish the second half. i'll be diving back in over the weekend so i can write a dev diary update on monday! i'm still planning to release it by december, so i want to get moving on the next WIP build.

the lease for the place i currently live is ending in october, so i'm planning to move some time around halloween. this gives me a good deadline for getting a build out... i might post one sooner depending on the amount of content i can blast through. there are the bad ends to think about as well, so i'll have lots to share hehehe.

another piece of candy

i still want to print the volume 2 books soon! in order to do that, i need to draw the cover for it. i'm working up to this right now since i only just got home yesterday and have a lot of things to catch up on, haha. trying to aim for the end of august though, since it's the comic's anniversary again :) the pdf is already mostly put together for this too, so it should be quick after i do the art and send it to the printer!

sex advice succubus

i wanted to update the game in march, but i couldn't get myself to work on it :'( now the window has passed and i have the treat 8 deadline to worry about... so let's just file this one under "i'll get to it when i can."

misc

i didn't get to draw that many diary comics about my japan trip as i wanted. i had ideas for them but i always felt too tired to draw them during my downtime, so i decided to just give up on it. if i feel like drawing them later, i will put them on my website! for now, you can find the existing ones under this tag on my cohost.

another thing i've been thinking about this year is, i really want to release an album of my vocaloid songs. it'd be nice if i could do that this year, but it might have to be 2025 instead (due to treat...) like, i know which songs i want on the album and i've got like 3 new ones half-finished already! so it'd be nice if i find the energy to finish those up and finally officially share them (instead of just in nomnomradio and youtube haha). music is a little bit of a struggle sometimes, so i'm hoping i can work past my mental blocks and share these really good songs with everyone. i love them a lot hehe.

i think that's all i wanted to say for this time... more exciting things to come, so i'll announce those when i can~ thanks so much for your support!!

It's really good to see you back! I'm glad you feel happy with the tiers. If you're happy with them, then I guess they're fine to me! Looking forward to the upcoming projects. Good luck with getting back into the swing of things... and good luck with the move! :S And I should very much HOPE that kids these days don't know ANYTHING about those deathtraps called chalkboards!!!!! Do you know how many people die each year from long-term exposure to chalk dust?!?? /j
