'Scenery' won the poll for the theme selection so I decided to delve back into the subtle charms of Kansas landscapes for my latest Pixelminis series. Since the first Native grasslands series I made a couple years ago, I've taken hundreds of photos on my country outings and have ample inspiration. I think it's important to connect your art to your immediate surroundings. It feels good to connect to the environment, and the art feels more genuine when it's inspired by the places you actually experience, not just imagined based on other media. I plan to do at least 9 pieces with a few of them being exclusive. They will all be inspired by real sites around where I live. Hope you appreciate the scenery of a place many outsiders consider an unfortunate place to live. Beauty abounds to those who are truly awake.

This first piece is called 240th Avenue onto Mt. Pleasant

I can only imagine how breathtaking these minis would be in full size. Oh well, still great work with limited space. I myself need to place limitations like these on myself to see what I can come up with.
