Elysian Fields

The perfect state of affairs became unbearable, signaling the mortal life still left in him. With a sudden sense to flee, he vanished into the hills, alone.

Watch process

One of these days I'd like to take you behind the scenes and show everything that goes into the production of a Pixelcast. Creating the artwork is actually the easy part. Editing it all together and writing music take up a lot of the time. But that's not a complaint, making the music is one of my favorite tasks.

This time I struggled with a track for a couple of days, until I finally just started a new project, and within a few hours I had a composition that was much better than what I was previously working on. Like most art, It seems it needs to come out in one smooth gesture. If I haven't captured the gist of the song in the first sitting, it will probably never become anything. Although, there are a few times I've returned to concepts and turned them into something. I find this often happens with visual art as well. The energy at the moment of conception is most critical to the overall direction of a piece.
