Getting back into some gameplay content this week, let's take a look at a new miniboss.

This is appears in Hyperspace Beta, which is the 2nd of 3 hyperspace themed levels. In order to keep these visually similar levels distinct we kick it up a notch with the variety of enemy units. A miniboss is always a nice way to break up the pace and make the level memorable.

You can see it has 2 main attacks, the chain projectiles and timed bombs. After you destroy all 4 bomb pods the shield powers off and you can destroy the main hub. Not too difficult but fun and visually interesting patterns. What's more, if you can't destroy it in time it will fly away, causing you to fail the 'destroy all enemies' objective. Also one tiny scrape on the paint and you'll lose out on the 'Unharmed' objective.

One thing I plan to improve is the visibility of the time bombs. They shoot out quickly and can be hard to keep your eye on.
