Quiet Transformations

Pixelmotion makes its first appearance on Youtube! Usually, I create my animated scenes completely in Photoshop, but this time I decided to experiment with animating some scaled up elements in After Effects. This allows me to break the pixel gird and create very smooth slow moving objects. In this case the motion of the clouds, rain, and path of the birds is created in After Effects, while the grass movement, splashes and bird flapping is all frames created in photoshop. I tend to stay on the pure side with my pixels, but I'm excited about the potential of this hybrid technique.

Possibly more exciting than the animation possibilities is the addition of audio. Music enhances the mood of the scene and adds so much more expression. Besides, I just love composing.

I'm quite happy with this experiment and hope to make more productions using these techniques. However, don't expect all pixelmotions to get this deluxe treatment from now on. Hope you like it^^
