[STATIC] LNA (Patreon)

Just a quick character study. With this one I tried to improve on my posing, tried to improve how I draw hair, tried to improve the form and construction of the waist, and tried to improve overall proportions. Things I'd like to learn are proper backgrounds and shadowing. Holy shit I can't do either. I'm enjoying doing a static piece between animations. It's a kind of nice palate cleanser in that I can finish something in a few hours, while also making me feel lame that I finished something that doesn't move.

This Loona character just has such a great design. That VivziePop is a real master at character design. I don't like, watch any of her shows, even though I probably should, but man. Every character she makes is just so eye-catching. Her old speed sketches on YouTube are super entertaining. She's a machine at cranking out drawings. So lively too. Great artist. I'll probably do more art of her characters until she slaps me with a cease and desist. Also, the Board of Directors informed me that Loona has syphilis, so like, shout out to the furries for making the thing that killed Al Capone sexy as fuck. Having my cock rot off and getting dementia? Sign me up. 

I'm not opposed to doing furry art, I just don't do a lot of it too often. But every time I draw a furry or non-human character, I kinda notice that I can like... abstract more...? Like, I know that my art is already pretty abstract, but it's easier to stylize features more. Like, I was able to give her a pretty ridiculous hourglass waist without my brain telling me "That ain't right." It's odd, but knowing the character isn't human helps me work on style.

I also noticed she's in that 3/4 view I can't escape from right as I finished the lineart. It's a curse I tell you. These static pieces help me do more varied poses and views though, while also hopefully being appealing art. 

Anyways, that's all the chattering in my system. Next up is animation stuff.
