Hello all!

Apologies that I neglected the last two Saturday recipes. Life has been insane. To make up for my failings, I give you what is literally my <not so> secret sauce. 😂

Origin? Ikea London published their gravy recipe durring COVID, and it is to die for.This sauce is...I cannot even describe how amazing it is.

I love it on pretty much anything that a savory sauce can be used for. <Rust, I eat it straight sometimes, and it's great on bread.> Your mileage may very.😉

But enough of that. 

In metric for those who like that. 😁


Preemptive Advice: Read the entire recipe first, before you begin, to avoid added difficulty.

Ingredients:

  • 40 g – butter
  • 40 g – plain flour
  • 150ml – vegetable stock
  • 150ml – beef stock
  • 150ml – thick double cream
  • 10ml – soy sauce
  • 5ml – Dijon mustard

Directions:

1. Melt 40g butter in a pan.

2. Whisk in 40g of plain flour and stir for two mins.

3. Add 150ml of veg stock and 150ml of beef stock and continue to stir.

4. Add 150mL of double cream, 10ml of soy sauce and 5ml of Dijon mustard.

5. Bring it to simmer and allow sauce to thicken.

6. Enjoy! 🎉
