Hey, just so you know, the discord link to message you isn't working (either expired or linking to something made private after the link was creaated) 1st comment: I like your work. It adds a lot of good visual compelling to our FF SW rpg sessions. 2nd: it's hard to download everything. they are all separate pieces in separate posts. It takes a bunch of time. Could each post have a least a zipped version with all that post contains? That would help a lot 3rd: it's hard to work with for printing out currently. Several problematic issues: *the images are much too dark for printing. i have to throw them in gimp and brighten them significantly *the purple space backgrounds wast a lot of ink. I've resorted to stacking things in gimp and applying image boundaries to steal the ink saving perimeter for the other versions while still keeping grids *Everything is image files of different sizes, so they all print to different scales. *and there isn't a pdf printable version scaled and chopped into regular paper sheets sized pages. So I had to look for some program where I have to manually scale and raster each with a bit of guessing game. Plus the free (vs several hundred dollars) program will not scale to more than 4 sheets without crashing (despite 24GB of ram) - so no big maps/ships print out for me at a usable scale. I like your work a lot, but the amount of work to make it printable and usable is costing too much effort after already paying for the patreon. Digital display users may feel totally different, but I'm asking if you plan to change the aspects i mentioned, because the + or minus of those issues ultimately are the deciding factor for if it's worth it being a subscriber for me.

Hey Andrew! Thank you for the thorough breakdown of your experience from the perspective of a printing person. Based on my Discord activity, most of my patrons, as I am myself, are virtual tabletop users, and it is hard get such a good feedback, I thank you for that. I plan to fix the problem of difficult downloading problem soon for FVTT users, but this solution will sadly not work for you. What I may recommend is unsubscribing and waiting until I start making printable- friendly pdfs here or on DriveThroughRPG (Second option will also guarantee all packs there are printer-friendly and will save your time). It is sad for me to hear it takes too much of your time, but my current focus on improving the experience for virtual tabletop users will guarantee I will not be fixing the stuff that concerned you within a few nearest months. But I constantly try to imrove and I will make some or all of my work printer-friendly in the future. Once again, thank you for the feedback! I have also sent you the updated link to my Discord, so we can stay in touch on this matter.

A bit late of a reply ... but ... Most of the things DroidCartographer posts are already zipped into folders. *Most* people generally only want or type or another .. it's generally expected that you only want the "Grid" version or the "Gridless" version .. and that you'd only want one type of files "JPG" or "Webp". So you typically only have one zip folder to download per 'release'. Not sure that anymore could (or even should) be done beyond that. If you go to the webp version, DroidCartographer usually includes a token version of any vehicles or spacecraft made, which allows it to be placed on whatever map background you need (a personal favorite factor for me as I use Roll20 and enjoy the versatility). The token version has a 'transparent' background which would should allow you to insert the image on a simple document (or perhaps print it to pdf) and would give you a blank (white) background perfect for printing. (Though, unfortunately, I can't think of any tips on helping to size those for prints.)
