Ah, the tavern! The timeless meeting spot for travelers to pause for the night and down a mug of ale, or two, or twelve, chatting up strangers, watching the bawdy dancers and winking at the rosy-cheeked barmaids, risking your coin at the gambling-tables, and working up a hangover that'll make you swear off your ways come morning. 

You won't actually keep that vow, of course.  After all, the next tavern isn't for another five days of travel, and you already know how good that warm mead will taste to your parched throat, and how charmingly the handsome barkeeper's eldest son will look to your lonely eyes...
