It's been a while since we've discussed this, but we've more or less finalized the Unity shadergraph logic to create dynamically shaded characters as seen in the gifs above. This allows for a fair amount of customization within a single form, and allows for some elements of a character--such as their choice of fabric colors, their skin and eye colors, and more--to stay with them as they transform between these different bodies.

The player character is able to choose the various color tones themself at the beginning of the game (and probably at various points throughout if so desired.) Companions have a fixed set of tones, while followers receive random values (within certain selections) when they are initially encountered.

The elves seen above are dark elves thralltakers who will be hostile to the player party in the first non-tutorial regions of the world map. The humans are those who initially accompany the player at the start of the game, as well as people who will be recruit-able at certain points of interest in the future.

The gifs shown represent the work of two different artists:

- Elves (pointy eared ones) and kitsune are drawn by new-to-Blue-Fairy-Media artist Icy. You can find more of their work on Twitter and BlueSky: https://twitter.com/IcyDoesNsfw / https://bsky.app/profile/icyart.bsky.social

- Male and female human crewmembers are drawn by returning artist mohmohpd. Check out more of their work on their DeviantArt: https://www.deviantart.com/mohmohpd
