The mesas, dunes, and red rocky cliffs surround you on all sides. You may not reach civilization for many days, perhaps weeks. You're low on supplies.  A troupe of jackal men are watching you suspiciously from the cliffs above, and two of your followers just transformed into sand vipers after being bitten in the last battle. Despite this, the violet-streaked sunset and soon the desert's starry sky will once again fill you with awe.
