Transformation Tycoon Officially Coming Soon on Steam (Patreon)

For anyone who is interested in using Steam, rather than Itch.io, to download (and keep update) new builds of Transformation Tycoon, the game has officially cleared the Steam game review process and is now listed as Coming Soon on the Steam store!

Steam requires the game show up on the storefront for at least two weeks before it is launched publicly, so the game will show as "Coming Soon" with a release date of December 16, but due to some weird policies with Steam, we can't actually release it until December 18 and we have to contact Steam to change the release date, which is... a little silly, so expect the game to go live on the 18th, not 16th.

Transformation Tycoon game is listed a free to play on Steam, same as it has been on Itch.io since its launch back in June. We don't intend to ever make Tycoon cost anything for the base game, but we may in the future add some paid DLC in the form of unique employees or story client sequences to help recoup the $100 app deposit fee that Steam requires. Additionally, Steam doesn't permit any links to Patreon or other fundraising sites on game builds, so the new game page won't show one, unlike the Itch.io release. Otherwise the gameplay is identical to the Itch non-debug/Patreon builds.

In the future we may try to add Steam achievements and cloud saves which the Itch.io version will not have.

We will continue releasing updates on Itch.io as we have been for those who don't want Transformation Tycoon to be listed in their Steam game libraries.
