"A Thank You in the Credits" perk and future patreon updates (Patreon)

If you are a patron of the $7 or higher "Thank you in the credits" tier, past or present, and if you would still like your patreon account name to appear in our game's credits, please leave a comment below stating so.

We haven't changed up our patron rewards tier since essentially the very beginning of our time here. As the first public alpha release of The Restoration of Aphrodisia draws nearer, we're likely going to make some changes to the tiers to reduce complexity.

Before that, however, our $7 tier has had for many years had the "Thank you in the credits!" tier. In the past, we'd take the names of the patrons of that tier and above and put them into the game as part of a long, ever-growing list that likely few people ever saw.

Originally this was only meant for The Exile of Aphrodisia (the older Electron app version), but since then Blue Fairy Media Games have released other games like Transformation Tycoon, The Exile of Aphrodisia 2023, as well as a couple smaller and experimental titles, Escape from Mu Tau Phi, and Henshinko!

None of these games have included the promised "thank you in the credits", and the old Electron app for Exile has been sunsetted. Additionally, we've had some patrons in the past request exclusion from the credits list as many people use their personal names for their Patreon account and would prefer to not have it shared so publicly.

We will add in any requests the next chance we have to push out a particular game. This, of course, includes The Restoration of Aphrodisia which will initially release for free on Itch.io. Transformation Tycoon is due for at least one more update; currently that title is waiting on some employee writing and writing. Henshinko! and Escape from Mu Tau Phi are essentially finished projects and may not ever receive any future content.

If you're curious, some future changes for patron perks may include:

• multiple tiers for voting on game content, such as having as $3 voting tier for artwork and the higher $7 tier for voting on new quests. This would replace the "add your extra votes in a comment" system that leads to some confusion and misleading poll results

• "top patreon backers" scroll banner that appear somewhere on the Restoration title page, randomly selecting a few backers each time the scene is loaded, possibly rotating on a timer. This would probably draw from lifetime pledge amounts rather than monthly as content releases may be uneven.

• a limited "insert your character here" type of thing where backers could have an original character appear in a scene. These might require some adjustments to fit in terms of lore and content.

• $1 granting access to various work-in-progress sketches by artists and development screenshots
