I love this movie, I absolutely adore Iris, I have always loved Kate. One of my favorite moments is her reaction to the wedding announce, seeing her expression fall and trying everything she could to not cry and keep a brave face in front of him was brilliant acting, it honestly always gives me chills it's so good. And of course her big monologue with Miles is another favorite acting moment. And Iris' relationship with Arthur is the sweetest thing, I do love how she really becomes part of the neighborhood and she brings such light around. Her story for sure is not about the romance but freeing herself from Jasper and becoming whole again, that's why for me I loved that they went with the slower route with her and Miles, they just started out as friends. And I thought they were so cute together and it was nice seeing Jack play a subdue role. Yes he's the comedic relief but he is so mellow in this and yes he's no Jude Law but brings his own charming style. Now I'll be honest at first I wasn't filling the chemistry or the relationship with Amanda and Graham, it felt very forced to me and just so quick. She let's him in before even knowing he's Iris' brother, lol. He was charming of course and they are beautiful people but I felt like at first they were kind of relying on that. But when they introduce the girls and give his character more depth I loved them and grew to really love them as a couple. It's so sweet seeing them all laying in the girls tent and Amanda bonding with them. And the way he holds her hand to comfort her after the musketeer line was perfect. Also I love that moment between just him and Sophie, it really showed how much he loved the girls and them too. And the ending is perfect with them all together. I loved them showing Iris with the girls too and you just feel that they are all just going to be a happy family now. I will say they never explain how Amanda and Graham make it work but I guess we can come up with our own ideas, lol.

I LOVE this movie!! Was so happy to have an excuse to watch it again - and feeling spoiled this year with this AND Love Actually - probably my 2 fave holiday rom coms. I think the Holiday is one of my faves in general - it is just SO feel-good. Jude Law in this is literally just a fantasy man come true and Cameron Diaz is so likable to me in this and everything - she's in some of my favorite guilty pleasure movies. And Kate Winslet of course is just always fantastic and can do no wrong. Throw in an adorable old man and an ending where we're just pretending everything is going to work out great for these couples and I am a happy girl! 🥰
