So I have to say that back in the day, like 10-12 years ago when I worked Executive Protection Unit at Microsoft I got (OR SHOULD I SAY HAD???) to spend the day with Shonda. We had just started this new presentation of our GSOC (global security operations center) to sell our security system to other companies and I didn't fan girl out at all. I was very professional, shook her hand, greeted her, and let her know I loved her work and was excited to show her our security system and went on with our presentation... that was the most I said to her before getting to business. And that woman was so cold to us the entire 5 hours we spent with her. She would ask us questions about our system and cut us off mid sentence when we were answering her questions. She would legitimately roll her eyes and check her phone immediately after she asked us any questions like she didn't want to be there after she had demanded 2 days before that we do this presentation for her on a very short notice. She made us tell the staff that they weren't allowed to look at her when we did the walk through of our main security room and that she would know if any of us mentioned her visit on social media. Anyone who looked her way in the halls even unknowingly walking by got the stink eye. I offered her cream or sugar for her coffee and after her sniffing the coffee she demanded tea and pastries so our buildings secretary had to run across the Microsoft campus to get it for her from the cafeteria building, when she was offered her tea and pastries she had requested, she said she didn't ask for carbs and then said they got her the wrong tea, which was ironic because we asked her what kind of tea she wanted and she said, "Anything would work as long as it wasn't the coffee." My direct boss, Joe, came back after finishing a meal with her and he literally looked complefelt defeated and dead eyes after. I don't think we ever heard from her again about getting our security system for her company. She mentioned she was disappointed that Bill (Gates) couldn't make the meeting but we explained to her the day she called to demand the meeting he wasn't even in the west coast that week. I still don't understand what that meeting was about for her but when you call her Evil part of me wants to tell you... "Fuck yeah. She truly is." And the other part of me hopes that she was just in a bad mood. That woman made me so uncomfortable, I cannot even begin to explain why anyone who writes these incredibly layered characters and emotions doesn't have the capacity to see how she treated us "little people" who were going out of our way to give her what she wanted. I know I got a little carried away with my story time but it's episodes like these that just remind me how much this woman likes to torture people. Haha. The woman makes great television but I cannot stand the fact that I support her by watching her great tv shows. I've heard of other horrible stories about fans meeting her and I always use to take those stories with a grain of salt because no one can be on their A game all the time. Before that day I couldn't have picked her out of a line up because she's a celebrity who isn't on your TV screen everyday. Like most people don't even know what she looks like, but I will never get her eye rolls and mean glances out of my head anytime I hear her name.
