i'll forever be disappointed with Elle's storylines in the show.. the writers did not do a good job at making a strong female character. For so long she was the only one in the show that had a "big role" (JJ and Garcia are side characters). I really hate how they portrayed her trauma and had the entire team kinda turn on her.. yes, she did not make the right thing, but they all were so ready for her to mess up that they weren't really impacted by it.. Except from Reid bc yes, he should have probably talked to Hotch about Elle. Rewatching with you, i'm more so disappointed by Morgan. They seem to have a cute friendship forming over the 2 seasons, they even went on holiday together and had traumatic vacation lol. And they just make him not care about her anymore? And Hotch is supposed to get his team together and should have handle Elle coming back better. Yes, it's also on her but she was giving all the signs of : you're obviously traumatized, don't come back to work. Yes, Elle seemed to not seek for help after her traumas and she didn't want to be save. But their job is literally to analyse comportments and you could clearly see she was not okay. Once again, what she did, getting justice by yourself, is not good. But i would have expected the team (at least the "young team") to support her a little bit more. And i blame the writers always, bc i know it's not the last time i will be disappointed with how double standard some of the characters are when it comes to reacting to what your colleagues are doing... Anyway, i never liked Elle that much, but after a bunch of rewatchs, i blame her less and less and can't help but be mad at the writers bc they abandoned her and never had the audience appreciate her. When they do such a good job at making the male characters shine in the first 2 seasons, i'm just sad at how JJ and Garcia are second line characters and Elle is just the one everyone hates.. Also, that haircut they gave her hahaha so bad. But i'm happy for what's coming bc of this storyline!! and that ep was definitely weird.. but interesting, having a kid being the killer, crazy.
