Yes that is actually Grace's voice and those are Sierra McClain (Grace) real life sisters playing her sisters in this episode. Sierra McClain and her sisters Lauryn McClain and China Anne McClain all sing and are in a music group together called Thriii.

I'm glad that there was a follow up on Grace's dad cheating during season 2. I felt very sad for Grace and her family. That is why it's important to communicate. I hate seeing Grace cry, that scene with her mum calling was so intense . The Owen storyline was funny and I actually liked the break up scene. Owen was mature and reacted way better than I would to finding out that your partner has another partner. Both storylines had a common theme of complicated relationships and saying things in the heat of the moment but Grace got closure and Kendra did not.

So, if I recall, Grace has sung once before on the show (earlier this season with the kid having trouble with his multiplication tables 🤣🤣🤣❤️). She sang a version of "Happy Birthday" that used the multiples of 7 instead of the actual lyrics of the song. Obviously a small sampling of her very good voice, but I still count it 😉So, this episode really got to me. When my mom was in the hospital almost 7 years ago due to a major hemorrhagic stroke, my sister and I sang Boyz II Men's "Mama" to our mama while she was still in a coma 😭😭😭(we did not sound anywhere near as good as Grace and her sisters, no sir 🤣🤣🤣)! We later found out that my mom wasn't aware that we were singing to her, but she appreciated it all the same. Yeah, this was a stressful episode all the way around! Kendra's husband's chest caving in and cracking under Owen's chest compressions shook me to my core when this was first airing 😮😮😮😮😮Then that ending!

She also sang during season 3 in the ice storm arc, I think 3x03. She was singing "this little light of mine".

It should not be funny, yet I can't help but laugh at Owen trying to do compressions on a frozen guy - that clip went VIRAL on twitter and all everybody was saying was like "You know who wouldn't do that? Captain Bobby Nash." and it was just a hilarious time.
