I will say it took me a very long time to enjoy Matt Smith as the Doctor, but that had to do with watching this on Netflix and they didn’t have these specials in order with the series so I went from the Christmas special of the Next Doctor to the first episode of series 5. No explanation of a new doctor no companion to smooth the way.

I love Wilfred! That actor does such a good job displaying strength and warmth while also not being afraid to wear his emotions on his sleeve! Honestly, I was pissed that David's Doctor was leaving the first time I saw this! I won't tell you how I feel about Matt's Doctor yet, but I will the more you get into his version of the character. Season 4, especially towards the end, just really tried to hurt us emotionally (and succeeded)

Seeing how much effort they put into the goodbye in this episode shows how beloved he was The Doctor. It took me a long time to get over the change but I love the next doctor just as much. You just need to heal a bit and get used to him.

Can't wait to see your reaction to the next season - it's actually my favourite season of the new Doctor Who! I love David Tennant so much, as the Doctor, as an actor, as a person, so when I say Matt Smith is my favourite Doctor of the new series (no one can beat Tom Baker from the original series) you know he must be good. I enjoy his companions and stories so much as well, in these first couple of seasons of his run anyway.
