One of my FAVORITE shows of all time!

I very much enjoyed this, love Sherlock, love the writing of Moffatt and Gatiss and the Doctor Who connection - Cumberbatch is nice eye candy to me

I knew nothing about this, but it's really good!

A great reaction. Shady Sherlock did make me laugh. He can definitely be shady 🤣. Steven Moffat you probably know the name from your Doctor Who reactions. As for the parking that was actually pretty decent parking. Yes you can park facing either way on either side of the street if it is a two way street here. Detective Inspector - the detective part I believe comes from being in particular sections e.g. Criminal Investigation Department CID which any officer in that department can use so you could have a Detective Constable/ Detective Sargent. The Inspector is Lastrade's rank

Yay! So glad you liked it! It's fun, isn't it? I especially love how quick Sherlock's mind is. (And how fast he talks, as he tries to mentally sort through all the information coming at him.) "Is it clever? Yes, it's clever. Why is it clever?" :D My sister came to visit me a couple years back and I talked her into watching the first one, and she became obsessed. Can't blame her - it's so well-written and acted, funny, mysterious and dramatic. All good stuff. Now we just got our younger brother to watch this first one a week or two ago, and he's hooked too! :) I think one of my favorite lines is Sherlock's near the end, when he figures out it was Watson who made the gunshot: "Never mind everything I just said. Don't listen to me. What do you want? I'm in shock - look, I've got a blanket!" Heeeeeeeeee.

I'm a huge fan of sherlock holmes as a character and I think they did an amazing job with this show! When I saw that you were reacting to it, i didn't remember the name of the show so I didn't do the connections, but when I started to see it I got so excited that you are reacting to it, I obviously remembered the show at the first moment! Thank uuuuu!

I love this show! I remember when the Sherlock Holmes movies came out and people were saying RDJ had given the definitive performance as Sherlock. Then Cumberbatch came along and said ”hold my deerstalker”. I love both actors, but IMHO BC is superior in the role. Got to love though how both of them are also in the MCU, playing snarky geniuses. Something else I love about this show is how much the creators clearly love the original stories, and are able to work in referenses. The title of this episode, ”A Study In Pink”, is a play on the very first SH story (”A Study In Scarlet”). IIRC there’s a plot point in that story about a dead man having written ”rache” before he died, and the police thought he meant to write ”rachel” but he actually was writing the german word for revenge.

No spoilers. I know you are two seasons ahead so it's safe to say this. I still won't reference any events though so that others aren't spoiled. But I can see that you are confused. Watson isn't gay. He's straight with no sexual or romantic attraction to Sherlock. They just become friends. And Sherlock doesn't seem to swing one way more than the other though he's only really been shown to have an interest in women. He's very asexual coded. But seems to be a demisexual. I'd say he's attracted to those that can stimulate his mind. Probably regardless of gender. I do believe he's also a virgin. There's context to support this in the show that you should have already seen by now. I think sex is something that makes him feel vulnerable and even embarrassed as it's something that he hasn't experienced nor has been able to completely understand. Which is a bit frightening for him. One thing to remember is that he is a high-functioning sociopath who is very autistic coded. (I say this as an autistic person) Sex isn't even something on his radar. So in the beginning of the episode he's not flirting with Watson. He's just assuming Watson was interested for a moment and shut him down. I think many people ship them which is understandable but I think people should also realize that two male roommates don't have to be gay. They can have a healthy platonic relationship. Would they be a good couple? Sure. But Watson is most definitely straight so unfortunately it wouldn't happen.
