The writing in this series is so freaking good. I love the flashbacks with connections with other passengers. We saw before that boone saw sawyer getting arrested in Australia back when he was trying to report Shannon's abusive boyfriend. Now we get a connection between sawyer and jack. And Jack's dad is the one who convinced him to do one of his biggest regrets by killing an innocent man because his (not so good) buddy set him up back in the states to kill a man who owed him money by telling him it was the man who killed his parents... so of course he remembers that conversation. And of course it's a little insight in what actually happened with Jacks dad. We saw in Jack's first episode flashback that he was trying to find his dad and wondering how his dad was able to drink himself into a heart attack when he didn't even have his wallet with him, since it was left in his hotel room and we find out that Sawyer bought him a couple drinks at that bar. Like I said the writing is amazing and you can find so many details connected to another moment.

🙌 the writing is what this show is all about. So excited to go through this show a seventh time with Travis

I love this episode, Sawyer is one of the most complex and intriguing characters. I always crack up when he just runs after that boar screaming, what an image would that be in real life, lol. The I never game is such a great scene, we actually learn quite a bit not only about Sawyer but Kate as well, we found out she was married and also killed someone. I absolutely love Sayid in this episode. Him giving Sawyer a little hard time was great but it wasn't mean or anything, more like playful teasing and one of my favorite moments in the episode is him talking to Charlie. We also got to learn more about Sayid in that moment and learn he has had to do some intense things in his past and it was sweet him helping him out. And I'm glad they didn't just write off what Charlie did in the last one, even though he didn't regret what he did it still effected him.
