That is indeed Amenadiel from Lucifer! I remember the first time I watched this and the church scene came up, I knew he was gonna be the pastor. The look on Tommy's face when she found out 🤣🤣🤣And the look on your face when you found out that Carlos is married, then you get even more shocked when you find out who he's married to 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣Also, poor guy getting stuck in the port-a-potty! And Owen, Owen, Owen. Picked the wrong biker gang to befriend 🤣🤣🤣

Yeah, the guy who plays Trevor plays the guy from Lucifer. What's great is that this is actually not the first time him and Gina Torres are playing love interests on screen. They were love interests on Suits as well.

I think Carlos marrying Iris adds a lot to his character. Also him keeping this from TK made a lot of sense since Carlos has a habit of not being confrontational and struggling being vulnerable I.e; him not wanting to tell TK about the situation with his parents, him hiding the break up from his parents. My only problem with this storyline is that in season 1, they only had one line which connected Carlos to Iris in 1x10 where Iris said that she was surprised that Carlos did not keep Michelle out of trouble. I wish they had established that Carlos and Iris had a friendship in season 1.

I think thats the thing that threw me....they definitely could have mentioned the Iris and Carlos thing earlier...at least that they were friends. I felt like he barely knew her lol

Before season 4, I always had the headcanon that Iris and Carlos knew each other first and then Carlos and Michelle became friends after Iris disappeared. All the Michelle and Carlos scenes in season 1 revolved around Iris so I can totally buy into the fact that him and Iris were friends in high school, then they got married, didn't work out and then became estranged. I hope that this aspect of Carlos' life continues to be explored because I find it very interesting.

I agree with your points about him not telling TK being in character for Carlos and also agree that I wish they had done a little bit more to set up the storyline in season 1. Wish it had been hinted at even a little.

yes the hot firefighters are back 🔥 DB (who plays the pastor) has been on several projects with Gina (who plays Tommy) throughout the years, most notably “suits” where they played love interests as well. They have such great chemistry ;) As for Iris: yes that’s the same actress as in season 1. I find it fitting actually that she married Carlos - she’s crazy and he was insecure about his sexuality. I like Iris though, she’s the good kind of crazy imho

I know that there was a scene which they cut from season 1 which possibly had something to do with this storyline. I hope it gets released someday. The only set up there was of this was the line from 1x10, Carlos in season 2 talking about having a hard time coming out and Michelle telling Carlos in season 1 "doesn't it always get weird?" when he dates.
