Oooh thank you Hayley. This is maybe my favourite MCU movie. Close between this, Captain America: The Winter Soldier and Avengers: Infinity War. I'll watch this in a bit. 😊

Yay! I love that you've gone back to this format, Travis! So, this is definitely one of my favorite MCU movies! The Thor movies before this one had a lot less obvious humor, which I do enjoy from time to time, but I like my humor to be more like this movie. Your face when you recognized who Skurge was is awesome! I also saw you try to play it off a little bit ;) He really is in a lot of stuff. So, Hela is played by Cate Blanchet, which is why she seemed familiar to you. In the comics (and, I believe, in Norse mythology), she's actually Loki's daughter, not Odin's. She's ridiculously powerful, and if you noticed, when she entered Asgard, she stumbles a little bit, almost like she's gotten an adrenaline spike because she just got a lot more powerful by entering Asgard. Yes, that was Matt Damon playing Loki in that Asgardian play 🤣🤣🤣. And the guy playing Thor in that same play is another Hemsworth brother (Luke, but I could be wrong about his first name)! And the guy playing Odin in the play is Sam Neil, from Jurassic Park fame if you've seen that (I mean, come on, you have to had seen Jurassic Park, Travis ;) ). I also thought that Anthony Hopkins did a great job portraying Loki pretending to be Odin in that scene 🤣🤣🤣 So, Valkyrie (based on Norse mythology's Brynhildr (I'm pretty sure I just 'butchered' that spelling; yes that's my Patreon dad joke/pun for the day), is played by Tessa Thompson. Don't know if you've seen anything with her in it, but, if you have, that's probably why you recognized her :) And of course the great Jeff Goldblum himself playing the Grandmaster (I saw that password ;) ). Just pure hilarity 🤣🤣🤣 Yeah, the soundtrack and score for this movie is pretty awesome, and it has some gorgeous shots, particularly the Valkyries fighting, and losing, to Hela; Thor's triumphal entry onto the rainbow bridge, and many others. Thank you Haley for the suggestion (this really is a 'marvelous' May; ok, so I lied about that being the only dad joke/pun 🤣🤣🤣), and I look forward to Black Panther with you Travis. You'll see a very familiar face in that one, too ;)

Just watched. I'm so glad you loved this movie. I know exactly what you mean about the humour, it works really well in this one. I think it's because Thor has always been a comedic character anyway, Bruce has too in a way and Jeff Goldblum is also known for his humour. So it fits well. And as well as the humour it really does have an epic feel about it. That moment when Thor jumps onto the bridge with the lightning all around him and the music playing is for sure one of my favourite MCU moments. 🔥 I also love Korg, he cracks me up. He's voiced by Taika Waititi who directed the movie. And he's just a brilliant side character. As is Valkyrie, she truly is hot and she's such a badass. You might've seen the actress Tessa Thompson in Men In Black: International or in the Creed movies. I look forward to watching Black Panther with you soon. It's great. 😊

Yeah, Taika's hilarious as Korg! Travis is gonna love that a particular someone is in Black Panther, but our lips are sealed about who that is ;)

JIM SCHMITZ

Who is it, Who is it...? There are several possibilities I can think of.

JIM SCHMITZ

I admit this is in my top 5 MCU films. Everything landed and felt so organic. (Not an easy feat). I thought Ilsuk was requesting it, so thanks, Haley.

Ilsuk Yang

Well, I technically requested Spider-Man: Homecoming. Thor: Ragnarok is definitely in my top 10 MCU movies, might squeak into the top 5

JIM SCHMITZ

But he did Spider-man: Homecoming for me, so you said we'd get 'Thor: R' this month as well. I took that to mean you'd do it instead.

Travis Manning

There are 3 Marvel movies coming this month. 3 People asked for them. You, Ilsuk and Haley. I changed Spider-man to 'Thank You Ilsuk' so you can sleep better tonight....and yours will be Black Panther. Move on. lol

This is easily in my top 5 MCU films! It's absolutely hilarious but also has great and powerful moments, like when Odin dies or when he sees and talks to him again and reminds him of who he is or several of the scenes with him and Loki. Hela is one of the best villians ever, she's funny but has so much poise and grace, Kate Blanchet was perfect! I loved Hulk in this, it was truly the first time that I realized how different he is to Bruce and they do have different personalities, it was nice to hear him talk so much and not be just a angry brute. I love all the side characters and the action is so well done. I by far prefer Thor with the short hair, you see his face better and I thought it looked great how it was all choppy and when you add the patch it was perfect, I love that look! And also what I love is if you go back and re-watch the first Thor it is actually a but eerie how similar Thor was talking like Hela before Odin banished him, you can see how he was going down that same path as well and would have if Odin hadn't done what he did. I do believe Odin was giving Thor a second chance to redeem himself, whereas he knew Hela couldn't. That's why he sent the hammer with him and casted the spell on it. Yes, that was Matt Damon in the beginning playing Loki during the play, Thor's actor was played by Chris Hemsworth real brother, I forget his name though, it's not Liam.
