ugh LOVE martha. i feel like she didn't get a lot of respect back then trying to step in where rose left off but i always liked her

Freema Agyemon (Martha) was singled-handedly responsible for my bisexual awakening. She always got short shrift from the fans, but she was great.

Her cousin Adeola who died in Torchwood during the battle of Canary Wharf is actually played by the same actress. That's why they wrote that line in because a lot of people recognized her. It's not the first time they've recast an actor and it won't be the last. This is definitely a great introduction to a new character. I like how different she is from Rose at the beginning. Rose asked constant questions, whereas Martha is throwing out suggestions. You mention the Doctor having the hots for Martha. I think at this point he's still not over Rose, but I do think he really enjoys Martha's intelligence. Especially coming off of that Christmas episode with Donna where she didn't have a clue what was going on half the time. Great reaction, can't wait for the next one (I think I already know what you are gonna say hahaha)

Yasss!!!! I love Martha! It took me a while to warm up to Rose (then cried like a baby in the season 2 finale, lol), but I loved Martha instantly. Yes, Martha's mom is indeed Lady Danbury! Trust me, you'll see a lot more familiar faces coming up (I won't say who, though ;) ). So, I actually knew Freema (Martha's actress) before I watched Doctor Who. I first saw her in a medical drama (I won't say the name of the show in case someone requests it). When you kept saying 'Lies! Lies!' I was expecting you to follow that up with 'Liza Minelli' but you didn't do it this time :(. I jest, I jest. I love that you're already loving season 3 :)

I can't even tell you how happy it makes me that you love Martha. She copped so much crap from the fandom when this first aired due to being the first companion after Rose (& let's be honest, probably due to a good chunk of racism / implicit bias as well).

I really liked Rose but I love how Martha is successful, clever and self sufficient, and yes, Freema is an absolute stunner. She's in a few other things too. Sense8 being one of my favourites (another show to add to the neverending list of suggestions... Maybe in 5 years time 😂)

Just watched, I'm SO glad you're this excited about season 3. It's my second favourite season and Martha is a big part of that. She really is hot, I have a crush on her too lol. And she's really clever and brave and her story this season is great. You're right that The Doctor and Martha have a connection, but maybe not in the way that you think. You'll see what I mean by that soon. You might have noticed a few Saxon references already, remember I said to look out for that name. 👀 And I also think the Judoon are great, they're so funny. They always crack me up. One of my favourite Doctor Who creatures. I can't wait to watch more of this season with you, there are some amazing stories coming up. There's only one episode in this season that I'm not really in to, but the rest are all top tier imo. 😊

Oh I still follow Freema now and look at her Instagram every day, she's gorgeous! Hasn't aged at all. There are two Doctor Who companion actresses that I have a major crush on and Freema is definitely one of them. 😂🔥

Haha YES!! The impossible girl will always be my favourite companion for SO many reasons, many of which I can't say without spoilers lol, but her hotness is definitely one of the reasons. I met the actress in person and I was definitely flustered. 😂😂

Honestly I think you would enjoy the companion show Torchwood that goes along with doctor who! It has a few episodes where the doctor plays a huge role but otherwise is it’s own show! jack harkness is the main character in the show torchwood!
