The first time I saw this episode, I literally laughed out loud when the TARDIS came hurtling down the highway 🤣🤣🤣! Yeah, I completely thought Donna was going to join the Doctor at the end, so it was a nice surprise when she didn't join him. With a show like this, it's a common trope for the 'Donna' character to join up, so I liked that this episode went against the trope. It really stuck out to me that Lance kept getting coffee for Donna, which tipped me off to that being the huon delivery system. I'm not gonna say who the next companion is, but I was a smitten kitten upon seeing them ;)

I was so excited when the announced Catherine Tate, then totally gutted when she said no to joining the Tardis. Several people commented last time that she was a huge name and in a lot of demand. These Christmas episodes typically do try to pull in bigger names in a one-time guest spot. Great reaction as always Travis, can't wait to see the next one. Oh, and as for the score, it get's better and better with each season. Murray Gold is the composer for DW and he is just FANTASTIC. If you keep an ear out you'll start to pick up on recurring themes. But don't listen too hard, because sometimes they lead to foreshadowing and spoilers if you recognize them too quickly lol.

Just watched, I'm SO glad you liked Donna. I had a feeling you would. If you didn't the fandom would be pissed lol, she's a real fan favourite. You're right about the Racnoss being extra, your impressions of her cracked me up. 😂 And I'm just SO glad that you're loving this show now, it does take a while to get invested but once you are there's no turning back. There's nothing else quite like it and that's what makes it special. I can't wait for you to start season 3, the next companion is fantastic. You're going to really like her I think. And, as Emil said above, look out for the name Harold Saxon throughout the season. Season 1 had the Bad Wolf mystery, season 2 had Torchwood and season 3 has Saxon. So just like with those mysteries, the name will appear everywhere. Sometimes on posters behind the characters, sometimes said by someone randomly, sometimes on a TV show or in some background noise. I'm excited for you to see what's coming. 👀 Oh and also season 3 is where the quality takes a massive jump up. After the success of the first two seasons, they got a big budget increase. You'll see that straight away from episode 1. 😊

I'm always so impressed by the make-up on the Queen of the Racnoss. It's so good. And yeah, I love Catherine Tate and David Tennant together. They're good friends in real life and they clearly have so much fun together.
