Emil Borg

You should watch Torchwood. It's a spin-off of Doctor Who. I can guarantee you will not be disappointed.

Revin MacGrath

The Daleks and Cybermen really said "The Library is open Dahling." That exchange is iconic.

Siobhan Linehan

He definitely should at some point. But not until after season 3 at the earliest because of spoilers. After that maybe someone could request it.

Emil Borg

Why after season 3? Last time I checked, season 1 of Torchwood runs parallel to season 3 of Doctor Who. Perhaps you are thinking of season 2.

Sarika H

so good, so so good, I agree that you would love Torchwood, one of the series/seasons is the best tv I have ever seen … and I’m really old lol

Siobhan Linehan

I thought so too but I checked and there are some season 3 spoilers at the end of Torchwood season 1. So I really think it's better that he waits to watch it. But if someone chooses to pay for it before then that's up to them I guess. I just know how strict Travis is about spoilers so it's better to be safe than sorry imo.

Ilsuk Yang

'That CD player?' 🤣🤣🤣. You crack me up, Travis! It does kind of look like one, though 🤣. When I first watched this 2-part finale and Mickey showed up, I knew Rose was going to the other universe. I knew this because, just as I start to really like a character that I didn't like before (yeah, I wasn't a fan of Rose at first) in a show or movie franchise, they leave somehow. I gotta give mad props to Billie Piper and David Tennant because they acted the shit out of this episode, especially their last goodbye. I cried like a baby the first time (I only teared up this time). Your reaction to the very end with the lady in the wedding dress was my exact reaction the first time I saw this 🤣🤣🤣. That actress will be in a future request, but I won't say which one

Emil Borg

I would have liked to sponsor it, but the Backstage Pass tier is sold out.

Siobhan Linehan

I didn't think watching this with you would make me cry, but it did. Every time. In a way Rose being seperated from The Doctor forever and having to live with that pain is a more cruel ending than if she had died imo. And then The Doctor fading before he says he loves her too was just mean. The writers love to make us suffer lol. I think this episode is SO well done, action and romance and emotion and mysteries from start to finish. And the Daleks and Cybermen sassing each other will never get old. 😂 You're right that this was the end of Rose as a companion so we see everything from her story coming together. All these characters coming back and the references from her first Dalek story and from the Bad Wolf storyline in season one. It's so good!! 🔥 As for the ending, the actress is called Catherine Tate. She's a British comedian and a BIG deal here. When this episode aired people lost their shit seeing her in the TARDIS lol. As for who her character is, you'll see in the Christmas special. But I think you're going to really like her. 😊🤞

Amy Cope

Totally agree you'd love Torchwood. It's kind of like Doctor Who after dark. Little more serious but still funny, still got aliens, lots more captain jack, little more grown up.

Amy Cope

I'm curious to see your reaction to the Christmas special. I adore Catherine Tate (the actress playing the bride). She's a comedy actress so try to keep your mind to a very different vibe.

Annie Willow

Don’t you just love when this silly little sci-fi show makes you sob.

Annie Willow

Also the caution when those is a new Doctor or companion is strong. “I don’t know you so I don’t like you”

Siobhan Linehan

Very true. The cycle with every new Doctor and new companion (apart from the first ones you see) is: 1) Hate them and want the previous ones back. 2) Start to like them. 3) Fall in love with them. 4) Cry like a baby when they leave and break your heart. 5) Repeat. 😂😂

SeeJay

Torchwood season 1 and Doctor Who series 3 can be watched simultaneously with the exception of, I think it's the last 2 TW episodes which aired after DW if I remember correctly. So if someone does sponsor it, just be sure to hold off on the last 2 episodes until DW S03 is wrapped.

SeeJay

Who is this next TARDIS adventurer, well, you'll just need to watch it unfold, and don't worry, we are along for the ride! ;) Christmas specials aren't just targeted at fans of the show, but are often watched by people who don't usually watch Doctor Who. TV on christmas day is a big deal in the UK with families gathering to watch all kinds of Christmas specials and show. That's why you'll typically see some big names getting pulled out in these moving forward. The lady in the dress is Catherine Tate. She is a comedienne in the UK and had her own show at the time, so was a pretty big deal.

This episode always makes me cry. Rose and the Doctor have always been couple goals for me, even though they were never actually a couple. They are my favorite ship throughout the whole of the series. She will always be my favorite companion.

John Smith

Really enjoying the reactions!

Sean Silence

I've seen the beach scene so many times and it makes me cry every single damn time.

Sean Silence

idk if she is my favorite companion (definitely top 3) but she's absolutely my favorite ship.

HeSkatesSheCreates

I knew this one was gonna be rough. I loved how smitten with Rose you became, and how much you grew to love Mickey. Not enough people (in my opinion) give Mickey enough credit as a character. I ugly cry every time at the whole entire ending. It’s so cinematically shot and edited as well, it really gets me. A lot of people don’t make it past this point actually, I know a few people in my real life that got to this ending and could not watch more period. Rose leaves a hole that is very hard to fill indeed.

Mrs O

I have watched this many times and it still makes me emotional. Rose will always be my favourite companion. The storylines are so good they pull you in and I could see that in you too when you watched it. I love this show.
