Yeah, the ood are pretty creepy. That would be a terrible existence though. Always beholden to a master. No thanks! The possession aspects of this 2-parter are quite creepy as well

this one gave me nightmares and I’ve never re-watched it, hopefully not tonight

Just watched, I put it off all day. This two parter scares me tbh. I had to skip some of the end of this episode. I'm a wimp and these eps are too much for me haha. 🙈 But I love the Ood, they're awesome. Ugly for sure lol but they're a sweet and kind race. When they're not possessed of course. 🤣 And I do love the moments between The Doctor and Rose as always. At this point they're not even subtly hiding their feelings towards each other. But they just don't know what to do about them. It's like what The Doctor said to Rose when she asked him about Sarah Jane, Time Lords live for thousands of years whereas humans don't. So it's difficult for him when he falls in love with one of them. And he does it A LOT lol. He's loved humans before Rose and he'll love humans after her. And it never gets any easier for him but he doesn't care because the short time he spends with them all is worth it for him. He's just an old romantic softie really. 😂💕

I really enjoy this story, it's got great sci-fi moments, amazing special effects compared to previous episodes, character development, weird aliens, and plenty of creep factor. I will admit I almost choked when not even 2 seconds after being introduced to this ominous entity you're all "is it the Devil?" What?? How the hell did you guess that so soon (pun intended) haha. To answer your question about sets, Doctor Who use a mixture of location shoots, sets, and CGI. This episode alone had 8 different locations across England and Wales, but a lot of episodes are filmed abroad with sets being constructed and deconstructed as needed. If you pay really close attention (microscopically) you'll eventually start to recognize the occasional repurposed set or location.
