I'm so glad you posted another Doctor Who reaction. But right before I have to leave for the day now I have to wait all day and try to be patient aaaaahhhhhh 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Idk if anyone has told you, but the Scottish accent that David Tennant uses in this episode is his real accent.

Queen Victoria basically told them thanks for saving me, but y'all gotta go because of your witchcraft 🤣🤣🤣. Knighting them and then banishing them is the quintessential way to give them a backhanded compliment 🤣🤣🤣. Oh, the things we do when we don't understand something

Just watched it. This episode freaks me out a bit lol, but in typical Doctor Who fashion there's enough humour in there to make it fun to watch. All the stuff about the royal family being werewolves was definitely a dig at them yes. Doctor Who has always been a progressive show with constant mocking of the monarchy and the government, hence the dig at Margaret Thatcher in this episode too lol. As for the history behind the episode, everything here apart from the werewolf is fact. Victoria and Albert really did have that diamond that was unfinished when Albert passed away. And Victoria really did make that journey to Scotland every year. And "I am not amused" was her real catchphrase. She was known for saying it when someone annoyed her. She was a feisty lady. 😂 As for Torchwood, they were mentioned in the previous Christmas special with Harriet Jones, if you remember, but this is the real start of that story yes. The story of Torchwood evolves through the season and it's mentioned many times, like Bad Wolf was last season. The Torchwood spinoff show doesn't start until after season 2 of Doctor Who, but like I've said before, don't watch it until the end of season 3 at the earliest or there will be big spoilers. I look forward to the next episode. It's a good one. But something you need to know before watching it is that it features a companion from the classic series in the 70s. She's called Sarah Jane Smith and just think of her as classic Doctor Who's version of Rose. It's important for you to know this or most of the next episode will be quite confusing for you. But with this context you should be able to follow it no problem. 😊

The good thing about the historicals is that the Doctor usually brings the companion up to speed, which is of course just a proxy for bringing the audience who might be unfamiliar with that part of history up to speed. Obviously the sci-fi elements aren't true, but many of the other parts are. Like the Dickens episode where he hadn't finished writing his book and the Doctor tells Rose he's going to die soon, before he finishes the book.

Being a fan of teen wolf and werewolves , I really liked this episode and also my love for history and seeing how they do take some facts from history and use them makes me like this show even more.

Side note: I’m pretty sure this was the first modern Doctor Who episode I watched though I didn’t even watch it all the way through because it turned me off lol. Obviously now I love modern DW, or I did up until the end of Capaldis era. 🫤

I like this episode too, though I felt bad for poor Robert. I was hoping he'd survive. I thought the actress who played the Queen was really good. She was interesting and fierce. And very much not amused. ;)
